CHINA -ASEAN Invitation Tournament: Cambodia In Group B, takes on Macau in Opening Game

Cambodia National basketball Team will take on Macau Tuesday,in their opening game of the China-Asean basketball Invitational Tournament in Nanning City in the Province of Guangxi, China.

The Cambodian team left the Kingdom on Sunday Afternoon aboard a china Eastern Airline arrived Nanning after a 5 hours transit in Guanzhou late on Sunday Night.

Cambodia is drawn in Group B along with Macau, China Guangxi, Vietnam Hanoi, and Chinese Taipei. Group A comprise of Host China Pingguo, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore and Myammar.

The Opening Game will see host Chinese Pingguo taking on Hongkong in Group A before Cambodia take on Macau in the Group B clash.

In the other fixtures Cambodia will trade hoops with China Guangxi on Wednesday, Vietnam Hanoi on Thursday and Chinese Taipei on Friday.

Two top teams from each group will proceed to the semi finals on Saturday and the winners will play the Finals will be held on Sunday 30th October.

"We are going to give our best shot" Says Head Coach Austin Koledoye, " The players are ready, we had a light training early this morning ( Monday) and they are in good shape after the weekend game against Vietnam Ho chi Minh" Austin Koledoye stated through a telephone interview.

The Cambodia team are still basking in the Euphoria of their win on Saturday against the Vietnamese team from Ho chi minh will have to contend with the weather in Nanning which is presently at an average of 23 Degrees Centigrade.

The three foreign based players joined nine other local players and four official to make the trip. They as follows
